(1) Pure framework structural system. The pure frame structure system generally does not exceed 15 floors in earthquake zones. The flexible layout of the frame structure can provide a large indoor space for the building, and the stiffness of each part of the structure is relatively uniform. The frame structure has significant ductility and a long natural vibration period, making it insensitive to earthquake action and exhibiting good seismic performance. However, the lateral stiffness of the frame structure is small, and due to the large lateral displacement, it is easy to cause damage to non structural components, so it is not suitable to build it too high.


(2) Frame supported structural system. When the lateral displacement of a pure frame under wind and earthquake loads does not meet the requirements, a supported frame can be used, that is, a certain number of supports can be arranged along the longitudinal and transverse directions of the structure in the frame system. In this system, the layout principle and column grid size of the frame are basically the same as those of the frame system. The supports are mostly arranged around the service area of the central part of the floor, and the supports arranged longitudinally and transversely are connected to form a support core tube. Using vertical supports formed by axial force members instead of frame structures formed by anti bending members can achieve much greater lateral stiffness than pure frame structures and significantly reduce inter story displacement of buildings.


(3) Frame shear wall structural system. Arranging a certain number of shear walls in a frame structure can form a frame shear wall structural system, which uses shear walls as lateral force resisting structures. This structure has the characteristics of flexible layout and easy use in the frame structure, as well as high stiffness, and can be used for high-rise steel structures with 40 to 60 floors. When reinforced concrete walls are set around service areas such as stairwells, elevators, and bathrooms, a frame multi tube structural system is formed. This structural system has a high lateral stiffness in all directions and becomes the main lateral force resisting component, bearing most of the horizontal loads, while the steel frame mainly bears vertical loads.
